Tokyo - the sixth most walkable city

An interesting article that lists the ten most walkable cities in the world and mentions some of the first.  I do not know at this stage what happens to make a city walkable and whether it is partly luck, the era it dates from, topography, or design.  Probably a combination of these factors.
